Topping the sale early in the opening day was Lot 44, a Snitzel filly which sold for $560,000 to multiple Group 1-winning South African trainer Brett Crawford.

The $32,004 record average demonstrated a 4% increase and the median also rose 4% to $26,000 from the 2014 sale. 469 yearlings were sold at a very healthy clearance rate of 84% in Session I.ġ15 lots sold during Session II grossing a record $3,680,500. The Session I average increased by 15% from last year to a record $95,886 while the median was up 23% to a record $80,000 and gross up 20% to a record $44,970,500. For the sixth consecutive year the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale has risen to new heights with 584 yearlings sold for a record $48,651,000 in Melbourne from Sunday 1 March to Wednesday 4 March 2015.
